Roanoke Island is also known as the "Lost Colony." What happened was, one day a settler there was to go back to Europe for more supplies. When he was gone, the spanish attacked the colony because the colonists weren't dying like they planned.So after the attack,and such,nothing was there.As soon as the settler that left for supplies came back all that was there was on a tree that had the word"CROATOAN" printed in bold letters on the face of the tree.CROATOAN was the name a spanish colony not to far from there. It is still a mystery today. Every scientist still asks themselves questions like,Did they dress up as indians?Where could they have gone?Did the spanish kill them all?There so many more questions on how they were missing and why they were.But so far even with the best technology yet, there is still no explanation on how they missing.
